This internship really showed me what college path I want to take. I would like to learn a trade like mechanic, woodwork, constitution or welding. Interning at solutions was really hands on work and showed my that i don't want to have a office job. What I observed about my mentor it that he's really passionate about what he does and he can talk forever about it. What I observer about my coworkers is that all of then have on thing in common, that they want to change there life for the better.

I made a meaningful contribution to my workspace. by showing up every day with a good mood and a smile on my face and ready to help. I feel like I brought the mood of all the girls up and put a smile on there face that helped them with porductivety, and there will to work. I measured my successes by how productive the day was and how fast we finished. My internship really showed me that i don’t want a office job, but a job that is very hands on and where I can get my hands dirty. A new appreciation is our breaks we get, because you cherche those 15 minutes of sitting after standing and working.
In my internship I have to advocate for myself all the time, for example when i'm given a new task that i never done before I ask clarifying questions. Another way I advocate for myself is if i don't and have nothing to do i'll ask if someone need help or if they have a job for me.
For my internship project i'm go to get there demo room up and running again. So they can use it when giving tours to demonstrate what systems they have in the green house. The demo room has a Deep Water Culture system. In a DWC system, a plant's roots are suspended in a well-oxygenated solution composed of water and nutrients. In the current of the system I would have to clean it up and repipe the water system. I will need help with the water chemistry and to fix the water loop. There are lots of odd jobs that I didn't think could happenAll the different faces and all the stories they have. There is lots of biochemistry that I didn't think was useful till now. I excited for the project I am doing (an aquaponics system). I don't really have any worries because I am very excited about my internship.
A typical work day at Solution farms, well every day is different at the farm. We always have to make sure to fish are happy, by making the shur the water is how they like it. We also have to do odd jobs around the farm. Today our odd job was making a tool to help us turn valves on and off. The work policies at solutions are if you aren't feeling good you shouldn't come to work because they grow lettuce and it might come contaminated. If you are going to be late you should give a heads up. The dress code there is close you don't care to get dirty, because you have to remember it is a farm. During the few hours I was there my mentor walked me around all the tanks and the growey. As I slowly started to understand the system and how everything is connected and what part it does for the aquaponic system.
